How do Gear Guards provide protection and prevention?

Gear Guards add an extra ½ inch of padding to standard oval headgear. This deepens the ear opening, reducing repetitive contact between your ear and the headgear. Less contact means less irritation which helps lower risk of developing or worsening ear injuries.

Do Gear Guards really make headgear more comfortable?

Yes! Many wrestlers who’ve tested Gear Guards report significantly improved comfort, a more enjoyable wrestling experience, and a better overall fit with their headgear.

How many Gear Guards come in a pack?

Each pack includes two Gear Guards for $22.99.
We also offer 6-pack and 10-pack options—perfect for teams or wrestlers with multiple sets of headgear.

Do Gear Guards come in other colors or sizes?

Currently, we only offer the original white "OG Gear Guards" for standard oval headgear. We hope to add additional colors and sizes in the future.

Will Gear Guards fit my headgear if it’s not a standard oval shape?

Gear Guards will still adhere and offer some comfort and protection, but we can’t guarantee the same level of performance if used on non-standard headgear shapes.

Can I remove my Gear Guards?

Yes! Gear Guards can be removed by carefully peeling the foam from your headgear. To remove any adhesive residue apply light heat with a hair dryer or heat gun, then peel and wipe it away.

How long do Gear Guards last?

It depends on use:

• Daily use: 1–3 months

• Semi-regular use: 3–6 months

• Occasional use: 6 months to several years

How do you clean Gear Guards?

Clean them just like your headgear: Use an antimicrobial wipe to clean thoroughly, then let them air dry for a few minutes before use.
